Two more people were arrested Wednesday in a roundup of accused Vicksburg drug dealers, bringing to 14 the number picked up in two weeks, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Willie Jones, 45, 1224 Second North St., was charged with two counts of selling cocaine Wednesday morning, Stewart said, after he was transferred to police headquarters from the Issaquena County Jail, where he was being held on another drug charge.

Also on Wednesday morning, Linda Sayles, 49, 1009 Copiah St., Pattison, surrendered to Claiborne County deputies on a warrant for two counts of selling hydrocodone.

Jones had been jailed on an arrest from June 5, when he was charged with possession of crack cocaine following a traffic stop, Stewart said. Jones, whose vehicle had been stopped at Locust and Jefferson streets, for his failure to have on a seat belt, tried to hide about 1½ grams of crack as an officer was issuing him the traffic citation, Stewart said.

Jones and Sayles were being held without bond this morning at the Issaquena County jail.

Last week, 12 people accused of selling hydrocodone and cocaine were arrested in the roundup.
