Hertisena Carter died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home. She was 92.

Ms. Carter was a homemaker and a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church and was in the senior choir.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrie Miles; her parents, Jeffery Carter Sr. and Leola Powell; and a sister, Coretha Miller.

Survivors include a son, Henry Wallace of Chicago; two brothers, Jeffery Carter Jr. of Tunica and Elex Carter of Atlanta; five sisters, Georgia Greer, Minnie Carter and Marsha Pollard, all of Tunica, and Bernice Harper and Emma Allen, both of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cool Spring M.B. Church with the Rev. Kevin Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 7 until 8 at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
