Evie Lynn DeLaughter of Vicksburg died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 1 day old.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roy L. DeLaughter Sr.; and great-grandfathers, Lee H. Windham, Oscar L. Messer and Leroy DeLaughter.

Survivors include her parents, Roy Lynn and Shelley Windham DeLaughter; a sister, Maggie Grace DeLaughter; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Debbie McCarthy; maternal grandparents, George and Jeanne Windham; and other great-grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins.

A private graveside service for the family will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

The family wishes that memorials be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in her name.
