City woman arrested for drugs at jail

A Vicksburg woman accused of trying to bring Valium into the Warren County Jail was arrested Friday afternoon, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Stephanie Kay Holman, 22, 581 Stenson Road, was visiting Anthony Drew Pearce, 6801 Paxton Road, when deputies monitoring the cameras observed Holman passing a sock through the bars to Pearce,

Deputies pulled the two aside and found cellophane wrapping around tobacco and two Valium caplets in Pearce’s possession.

Pace said possession of any controlled substance in a correctional facility can be prosecuted as a felony.

Holman was released from jail Sunday on a $2,500 bond.
