A Yazoo City man faces theft charges after his arrest at a traffic stop Monday on U.S. 61 North near Oak Ridge Road, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

James Lee Johnson, 47, 246 W. 10th St., was arrested by Warren County deputies at about 11:13 a.m. on a Vicksburg warrant charging him with embezzlement under contract, Stewart said. He was released from the Warren County Jail on $20,000 bond and transferred to Madison County, where he was wanted on a charge of felony false pretense, Stewart said.

Johnson is accused in the Vicksburg warrant of renting from and not returning a Husqvarna ceramic tile saw from Sheffield Rentals in June. A Sheffield employee saw Johnson’s 1990 Toyota pickup on U.S. 61 Monday morning, Stewart said, and called police, who asked the sheriff’s department to arrest him.
