Herman Kelly Bryant Sr.

Herman Kelly Bryant Sr. died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 88.
Born in the Oak Ridge community, he was the son of the late Herman Elmo Bryant and Josie Bigby Bryant. Mr. Bryant was employed selling petroleum products to farmers in Mississippi and Louisiana. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a former Little League baseball coach and an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Gilbert Bryant; a son, Stanley David Bryant; two sisters, Margaret Bryant Hite and Chesley Bryant; and six brothers, Marvin Bryant, Jimmy Bryant, Bill Bryant, Wes Bryant, Floyd Bryant and Goff Bryant.
Survivors include two sons, James Everett Bryant and Herman Kelly Bryant Jr. (Sue), both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Benjamin Bryant, Jessie Bryant Smith, Claiborne Bryant, Mercedes Warwick and Joshua Bryant; one sister, Judy Hallberg of Memphis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Natchez City Cemetery with Ken Harper officiating. Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
