Services for Jesse B. Norfort were at noon today at Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Edward C. Knight officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Norfort died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Promise Speciality Hospital. She was 104.

Mrs. Norfort had been a member of Brooks Chapter No. 107 Order of the Eastern Star, Mount Eden Tabernacle No. 109 Sir Knights and Daughters of Tabor, Christian Church Union Society No. 2, Mount Alban Union Sister Society No. 14, Mount Alban Union Sister Society No. 10, Christian Home Society No. 9, Christian Home Society No. 14 and the Christian Home Society No. 11. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Armstrong and Frances Williams.

She is survived by numerous cousins and other relatives, including Denise Rush and Lizzie Edwards, both of Vicksburg, and Thelma Willness and Rose Jackson, both of Richmond, Calif.
