HOW THEY DID

A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football games played over the weekend.

• Mississippi State kicker Devon Bell (Warren Central) booted field goals of 31 and 24 yards, missed from 38, and went 5-for-5 on PATs in a 41-31 win over Tennessee. Bell also had two touchbacks on eight kickoffs.

• Mississippi College wide receiver Les Lemons (Vicksburg High) caught two passes for 17 yards in a 27-14 loss to Howard Payne. Lemons also returned one punt for 14 yards.

• Murray State defensive back Darius Buck (Warren Central) had three solo tackles in a 66-59 loss to Tennessee-Martin.

• Tarleton State receiver Cordell Valentine (Warren Central) caught one pass for 2 yards in a 43-10 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce.
