Sarah Elizabeth Allred died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Heritage House. She was 74.

Mrs. Allred was born in Scott County and had lived in Vicksburg for many years. She retired as a bookkeeper from Laws Construction Co. and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clell “Jim” Allred Jr.

Survivors include one son, Clell M. Allred III of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Taylor of Roswell, Ga.; two brothers, Petty Brown of Sebastopol and Finley Brown of Homewood; three sisters, Willie Lang of Crystal Springs, Dorothy Green of Kosciusko and Emily Cooksey of Sebastopol; and four grandchildren, Mary Clell Allred, Lauren Pictkowski, Kathryne Pictkowski and Savannah Cupit.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jack Laws, Terry Cooksey, Lee Williams, Mike Conn, Keith Gordon and Eric Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bidwell Green, Petty Brown and Finley Brown.
