Burrell to wed Johnson Jan. 12 in New Orleans

Michelle Knight Burrell announces the engagement of Sara Elizabeth Burrell to Russell Prewitt Johnson. Mr. Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Richard Johnson Sr. of Vicksburg.
Miss Burrell is the granddaughter of Mary Rose Drake and the late Joseph Turpin Drake Jr. of Port Gibson and Dorothy Grant Burrell and the late Harry Allen Burrell of Cleveland.
Mr. Johnson is the grandson of Betty Margaret Prewitt and the late John William Prewitt and the late Willie Cecil Johnson, all of Vicksburg, and the late Mildred Case Brewer of Madison.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where she was a member of the basketball and track teams and National Honor Society.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer science from the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She received her master’s degree in hospitality and tourism from the University of New Orleans.
Miss Burrell is a national account coordinator at the Hinson Group in New Orleans.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate from Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the basketball and baseball teams.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Johnson is a commercial account executive at Eustis Insurance and Benefits in New Orleans.
Vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. Jan. 12, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in New Orleans. A reception will follow at the Eiffel Society.
