City woman jailed for fake charge accounts

A Vicksburg woman accused of opening fake charge accounts was held without bail today.

Darquilla McDaniel, 28, 2501 Ken Karyl Ave., was arrested on a warrant for identity theft, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

McDaniel is accused of opening nine charge accounts and making $1,800 in fraudulent charges, Stewart said.

McDaniel was held in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting her initial court appearance.

CDs reported missing

from car at casino

Music CDs were missing this morning following an auto burglary Wednesday in Vicksburg.

At 12:13 p.m. Wednesday, four CDs valued at $20 each were reported stolen from a 2001 Honda CR-V at Rainbow Hotel and Casino, 1380 Warrenton Road, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
