Two Warren County residents were jailed today on drug charges.
Laura Moore, 27, 102 Newit Vick Drive, was charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Moore was arrested after deputies found she had two tablets of oxycodone, a prescription pain killer, while she and a passenger were in her GMC truck in the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue, Pace said. Moore, who was being held without bail, and the passenger also face misdemeanor charges, Pace said.
In a separate case, Joseph Bruce Dickinson, 22, 301-B North Fairview Drive, was arrested at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Pace said.
Dickinson was arrested by Deputy Weston Watts after a traffic stop for careless driving on Culkin Road, Pace said. When Watts was filling out the ticket, he saw Dickinson drop a bag containing meth from the driver’s side window of his vehicle, Pace said.
Dickinson also was being held for the Mississipi Department of Corrections for a probation violation, Pace said.
