Services for Corrie Lee Jackson Chiplin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greater Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. James Edwards Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 4 until 5.

Mrs. Chiplin died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her home. She was 77.

She attended school in Jefferson County and was employed with All Saints’ Episcopal School and Chip and Chip Groceries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Etta and Monroe Jackson; a daughter, Rosa Chiplin Rankins; and 15 siblings, James Jackson, J.P. Jackson, Grover Jackson, Issac Jackson, Monroe Jackson, Wendell Jackson, Tom Willie Jackson, L.C. Jackson, Holly Bell Wyatt, Artel Reed, Estella McBride, Mary Dell McCraney, Rebecca McBride, Johnnie Rose Johnson and an infant.

She is survived by four sons, Bobby Chiplin, Rickey Chiplin, Charles Chiplin and Thomas Chiplin, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Denise Chambers and June Thomas, both of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a nephew whom she reared, Alfred “Pat” McBride; and other nephews, nieces and family members, including the Darden, Harried, Naylor, Jackson and Wyatt families.
