Ghosts of Ole MissCampus riots framed 1962 season for Rebs

Intensely focused. That’s how Vicksburg city prosecuting attorney Bobby D. Robinson remembers the Ole Miss football team in 1962.
Robinson, a McComb native, was a starting left guard and outside linebacker for a Rebels team that finished 10-0 and allowed just 40 points en route to the 1962 national championship. It capped a string of three national titles in a four year span for then-coach John Vaught and his Rebels.
