A Texas man accused of receiving drugs through the mail at the U.S. Post Office in Vicksburg was held without bail today.
Oscar Onate, 30, 114 N. Denver St., Dallas, was arrested inside the post office at about 2:15 Thursday afternoon, jail records showed. He was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Postmaster Bobby Jones, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Drug Enforcement Administration all declined to comment on the arrest.
Onate was taken to the Warren County Jail by Vicksburg police, but jail records list the investigating agency as the DEA.
