Geoffrey Alan Wilkinson and Jennifer Kate Rees were married at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Savannah, Ga. The Rev. Enoch Hendry officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gavin W. Rees of Union, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Carr of Vicksburg and Col. and Mrs. Marvin W. Rees of Burke, Va., formerly of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Alan Wilkinson of Louisville, Ky. He is the grandson of Walter Wilkinson and the late Peggy Wilkinson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Elias, all of Louisville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were black and ivory. Music was presented by Suzanne Woodrum, organist; Gregory Smith, vocalist; and the New Arts Ensemble.

Bridesmaids were Laura Shoene Butcher, Julie Morris McCauley, Kacie Wilkinson, Kerri Wilkinson and Mackenzie Hindman Woodward, all of Louisville; Meghan Hollman Brown of San Diego, Calif.; and Jocelyn Kanatzar Roy of Fort Wright, Ky.

Groomsmen were Keith Adams, Jack Howell, Kevin Mayhugh and Vincent Tatum, all of Louisville.

Katie O’Brien of Louisville and Natasha LaGesse of Walton, Ky., served as program attendants.

Reader was Kimberly Carter of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Vicksburg.

A reception followed at The Gardens at Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum in Savannah.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They will make their home in Louisville.

The bride is an account manager with the Kroger Company, and the groom is a real estate broker with KW Commercial.

Mrs. George Carr, Mrs. David Cotton, Martha Rees and Mrs. Marvin Rees hosted a bridesmaids’ brunch in Savannah on the day of the wedding.
