YAZOO CITY — Billy F. Brown Sr. died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 80.

Mr. Brown was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Belzoni to Rita Ferguson and Tom Brown. He was a retired salesman for Sears and attended First Baptist Church in Yazoo City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne M. Brown; and a son, Billy F. Brown Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Childress (Sammy) of Vicksburg; one brother, Lee Brown of Vicksburg; two sisters, Janet Farish of Tunica and Mary Thom Trelor of Greenville; three grandchildren, Kayla Childress, Courtney Brown and Callie Brown; and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Brown of Yazoo City.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Yazoo City with the Revs. David Bryant and Lewis Kalil officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City.

Pallbearers were Jack Spencer, Bill Reeves, Herman Wooten, Kenneth Helton, Mark Romine and Jimmy Sandling.

Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Davis, Kenneth Buckley, Benton Hayman, Clinton Hayman, Dr. Paul Pierce III, River Region Medical Center ICU nurses, Jane Wilson and Sara Irby.
