Kris McKay, right, retrieves a purse for driver Erica Montgomery, 22, 1503 Dana Road, whose car flipped after she swerved to miss a deer carcass in the middle of a westbound lane of Interstate 20 between Indiana Avenue and Halls Ferry Road this morning. McKay, who saw the accident, said the Nissan Altima flipped once before landing on the roof. A Vicksburg Fire Department ambulance was called to the scene and the driver was checked, but was not taken to the emergency room. The second man in the photo was not identified.
