Freeman festival at SCHC a success

The Hobbs Freeman Arts and Nature Festival was one of the best and most exciting events that we have hosted at the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation. The incredible participation and support that we received from the bands, performers, attendees, art vendors, lecturers, storytellers and food vendors were so very appreciated. There is no way to list all the volunteers who assisted in this project without taking up the whole page. The volunteers assisted in planning and implementing of the festival and provided their time and talents to make this first-ever festival a complete success.
We would like to also recognize the partnerships and support of Daniel Boone, Mike Calnan, Jack Burns, Richard McComas, Jim Miller, Burt Ryan, the City of Vicksburg, The Vicksburg Post, River 101.3, Khits 104.5, NewsTalk AM 1490 and the Strand Cinema.
A special thanks is extended to the National Park Service for the grant under the Lower Mississippi Delta Initiative that made the Hobbs Freeman Arts and Nature Celebration and Festival possible.
The cooperation of the community allowed this event to become a reality. Thanks Vicksburg for your support. We hope to produce this event again in the future.
