Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Prater Henyard will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1350 East Ave. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be on Monday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday at the church from noon until the hour of service.

Mrs. Henyard died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at her home.

Born in Woodville, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Henyard; two sons, Walter Henyard and Charles Henyard; her parents, Essie McFarland and David Prater; two grandchildren, and her god-daughter, Jocelyn Ann Wells.

Survivors include four sons, Roosevelt Henyard and George Henyard, both of Woodville, and Sylvester Henyard and Michael Henyard, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Bertha Henyard of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Ethel Mae Brown-Miles of Woodville; 22 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives including Pearlina Moore of Vicksburg and the Prater, McFarland, Jarvis, Bell, White, Moore and Dixon families.
