Ann S. Nassour

Ann S. Nassour died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 68.

Born in Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Clifton Strickland and Erna Voss Strickland. She was a graduate of Jett High School in the Class of 1962 and attended Hinds Junior College.

Mrs. Nassour was the lead purchasing agent with the Procurement Division at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Vicksburg District, retiring in 1988 with 25 years of service. She was the office manager for Canufly Internet Services and Nassour Computers from 2000 to 2012. Mrs. Nassour was a communicant of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her husband, John A. “Johnny MO” Nassour; a son, J. Michael Nassour (Janice) of Vicksburg; one sister, Eleanora Baker of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy C. Strickland.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. P.J. Curley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with a wake service at 7 and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Joey DiRago, Vince DiRago, John Piazza, Jim Hilbun, Justin Gregory and Robby Potts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Staff Sgt. Clay Channell (serving in Afghanistan), Scout Master Greg Evans and members of Boy Scout Troop 7, Mike Gatti, Mike Callahan, Dan Callahan and Ellis Nassour.
