Mississippi’s plan for an insurance exchange was sent to the federal government Wednesday, a blueprint its author said is a snap for people to shop before much of the new federal health care law kicks in.
Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney said the state’s insurance exchange lays out private health care providers for people to vet on their own.
“You go to the website and you’d shop for it just like you would go on Amazon.com or anything else,” Chaney said by phone Wednesday after his letter of intent was sent to the Department of Health and Human Services.
