Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield is home after undergoing surgery at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Winfield returned home Friday after having hip replacement surgery Monday to repair a birth defect that was aggravated during his football career at Ole Miss in the 1990s.

The mayor said he would be at the Dec. 3 meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen at the Vicksburg Convention Center at 10 a.m.
