Free events set at HCC
Hinds Community College, Raymond and Utica campuses, has scheduled free events for December.
• Through Dec. 5 — HCC faculty members art exhibit, New Works, New Discoveries, Marie Hull Gallery, Raymond Campus; gallery hours: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
• 7 p.m. Dec. 3 — Fall Choir Concert, Cain-Cochran Hall, Raymond Campus
• 12:45-2 p.m. Dec. 5 — Annual Christmas Choir Concert, Fine Arts Complex, Utica Campus

Socks for Seniors seeking coordinators

Mississippi Chorus to hold concert
The Mississippi Chorus has planned a concert for 8 p.m. Dec. 15 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5301 Old Canton Road, Jackson. From Heaven on High: Festive Music for Christmas will feature Artistic Director Michael Hrivnak, The Mississippi Girlchoir, members from The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, baritone soloist Randy Langley, organist David O’Steen and The Mississippi Chorus Chamber Singers. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for seniors and $5 for students with a student I.D. and may be purchased online at www.mschorus.org or at the door. Lighting the Way set in Hattiesburg
The 6th annual Lighting the Way for the Holidays is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg. The free event includes the 61st annual Chi Omega Songfest scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Reed Green Coliseum, a photo booth with holiday props, pictures with Santa, ornament decorating, holiday games with prizes, hot chocolate, chili and holiday music. USM ensemble to hold free concert
The University of Southern Mississippi Wind Ensemble has scheduled a free concert for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Hattiesburg campus in Bennett Auditorium.
