CHICAGO — Edward Earl Jones, a former Vicksburg resident, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012. He was 65.

Mr. Jones had worked in the bakery industry and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Millie Warner Jones; and a brother, Essell Jones.

Survivors include three brothers, Hamilton Jones of Hillside, Ill., Lampton Jones of Munster, Ind., and Aaron Jones of Plattsburg, N.Y.; five sisters, Dorothy J. Wilson of Washington, D.C., Katie Hendrix of Maryland, Ill., Velma Jones of Chicago and Erma Jones and Annie Jones, both of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church with the Rev. Henry Williams officiating.
