HERMANVILLE — Samuel Caldwell Thedford died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was 72.

Mr. Thedford was a native of Copiah County and had made his home at the Ellisville State School for the past 11 years. He was a member of Hermanville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Minnie Thedford; and a brother, Eugene Thedford.

Survivors include three sisters, Hilda Junkin of Lorman, Joyce Craven of Hazlehurst and M.L. Jones of Metairie, La.; and a brother, Donald Thedford of Hazlehurst.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Hermanville Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Salley officiating. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Walters, Donnie Galbreath, Henry Matthews, Kleb Johnson, John Selden and Buddy Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Orcatt and Darrel Craven.
