Dear editor,

On behalf of myself and my family I want to say a heartfelt “thank you” to each and everyone who have prayed for us, given us your thoughts, and sent cards and well wishes.

We would also like to thank those of you that organized, volunteered and gave so selflessly of yourselves, through your time, giving of blood and donating money at the benefit on my behalf at the Elks Lodge on Aug. 8 and the Blood Drive on July 14.

We are so overwhelmed by the generosity from not only our friends and family, but from the City of Vicksburg as a whole.

Living in a community where people are so concerned and are so willing to give you a helping hand is a great gift and just saying the words “thank you” will never be enough. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and we are so blessed by the love, support and acts of kindness by each and every one of you.

Thank you all again so much for blessing us with your love, support and your acts of kindness.

We know that the power of prayer really and truly works so please continue praying for me and my family.
