The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation is so grateful for all the many organizations and individuals that encouraged, sponsored, volunteered, supported and participated in the 27th Annual Over the River Run.

The financial support from Ameristar Casino, Anderson Tully, BlueCross & BlueShield of Mississippi, Shape Up Sisters, Mutual Credit Union, Lady Luck Casino, DiamondJacks Casino, Trustmark National Bank, New York Life/Stan Kline, Therapeutic Massage by Sandra Brown, LMT 1556, Shipley Do-Nuts, McDonald’s, Slipin’ Slidin’ Waterslides, Vectrus, Green Lion Screen Printing, Merit Health and The Vicksburg Post make the event a success from the very beginning.

Donated support from Budweiser, Coca-Cola, United Rental, Republic Services, Vicksburg National Military Park, and Woodmen of the World means so much to the success of this wonderful community event. The 200 volunteers consisted of representatives from all over the community who worked the day of the event and the many nights before bringing everything together.

A special thanks goes to the dedicated city and county officials of Vicksburg and Delta, LA, the Vicksburg Bridge Commission and the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Their teamwork allows us to run the race safely and without complication.

From the pre-event organization to the after-party and everything in between, all things went extremely well.

We look forward to hosting the 28th Over the River Run on Oct. 8, 2016.
