Two arrests have been made in the homicide of Reginald Davis, 21, of Vicksburg, that occurred Wednesday night on Main Street.

Leroy Stewart, 21, turned himself in to Vicksburg police around 9 a.m. Thursday and was charged with murder.

Stewart’s initial court appearance will be 10 a.m. Friday in Municipal Court.

Jamarcus Carter, 18, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with murder for his participation in the shooting.

Carter’s initial court appearance will also be 10 a.m. Friday in Municipal Court.

Davis, 21, died in the emergency room of Merit Health River Region Medical Center after being transported there by a private vehicle.

He was apparently shot while in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Vicksburg Police capt. Sandra Williams of the department’s criminal investigation division said someone with a handgun shot Davis in the upper body.
