Two men were injured Friday morning after the car they were in left Oak Ridge Road south of Piney Woods Drive and struck a tree, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Thomas Chance Curtis, 18, 1215 Jeffers Hollow Road, the driver of the 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, and Dallas Cole Hearn, 22, 200 Roy Young Road, a passenger in the SUV, were both taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Curtis was flown by helicopter from Merit Health River Region Medical Center to UMC and was in serious condition. Hearn was taken to River Region and later transferred by ambulance to UMC. He is in good condition.

Pace said the wreck occurred about 7:45 a.m. He said the Tahoe was southbound on Oak Ridge Road, when the tires went off the right side of the road.
