PORT GIBSON — Johnnie E. Wilson died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. He was 69.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Julia Hunt-Wilson; and two brothers, Karl Wilson and Solomon Wilson.

Survivors include three sons, Lamont Wilson of Nashville, Tenn., Robert Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., and Stacey Smith of Peoria, Ill.; one daughter, Tangeneva Wilson of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Alfred Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., Raymond Wilson and Larry (Ramona) Wilson, both of Port Gibson, and Eddie Wilson of South Holland, Ill.; three sisters, Barbara Johnson of Port Gibson, Agnes Wilson of Washington, D.C., and Catherine Neil of North East, Md.; a great aunt; four grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Magnolia M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Wilson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday at the church beginning at 10 a.m.
