County, city issue burn ban

Warren County has issued a countywide burn ban until Oct. 31, county Emergency Management Director John Elfer said. He said the city of Vicksburg has also issued a burn ban through Nov.1.

Elfer said the ban has been issued because of dry conditions and low humidity, adding the National Weather Service Office in Jackson has issued a fire danger statement.
