To the editor:

A few teachers at Redwood School should know kids need recess for social, physical,emotional ,cognitive development and well being. It is how their mind and body gets repaired and recharged.

Standing them against the wall for two minutes for each problem they get wrong in class before recess is absurd.

These kids have missed recess for days because they didn’t finish reading their books on time.

Complaints have been made but they fall on deaf ears.
