Mayor requests residents avoid water use

Early Sunday storms reportedly damaged some operations at the city’s water treatment facility on Haining Road.

Now, Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. is asking residents who use the city’s water system to not use any water until early afternoon.

The system is currently operating off of well and needs time to make repairs on those currently not operating.
