BRANDON — John Martin Carter, 46, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

He was born in Gulfport and had been a resident of Brandon since 2005. He was a member of Pinelake Church in Brandon. He enjoyed watching movies and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Carter; mother, Joylene Carter; four children, Courtney Carter Ingle (Jeremy), Brooke Hopkins, Colby Carter and Hunter Hopkins; a brother, Gerald Edwin Carter II; and a grandchild, Taylor Scott Ingle.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Edwin Carter.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon.

Burial will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
