To the editor

I would like to thank the many supporters, advertisers and sponsors for all of the help you gave us again to make the Fourth Annual Pastors, Ministers and Leaders Conference a success at The Vicksburg House of Peace Worship Church International!

It was because of your help and assistance that we were able to reach a great deal of leaders and potential leaders in the religious, business and social service arenas. This regional conference reached out to approximately 500 people from Vicksburg, the surrounding communities and 13 additional states! We had registrants here from Nevada, Arkansas, Michigan, Tennessee, Illinois, Louisiana, Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, New York, Georgia,Virginia and Texas. Our guests used rooms in three different hotels. The Vicksburg area was impacted in a number of  positive ways.

Our goal for this PML conference has been and will continue to be: “A BRIDGE,” that brings people together from all of the sectors of the community and abroad to train and equip leaders who want to make a difference! We believe that bringing our gifts and talents together can unify and educate us on all levels.

We could not have done it without these special people and groups that have seen the vision that we have cast and have supported it: The Mississippi Tourism office in Jackson that gave us bags and booklets to place in our conference bags, The Vicksburg Post and Jan Griffey for your in-kind sponsorship and assistance; The City of Vicksburg, Mayor George Flaggs, The Vicksburg Police Department, Police Chief Moore, The Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Pace, and The  Warren County Board of Supervisors for your great support; Promise Hospital, Hope Credit Union, Guaranty Bank, RiverHills Bank, State Farm Insurance, Lawson Fiser, Alfa Insurance,Jerry Stuart,  Hinds Community College, Mission Mississippi, Neddie Winters, Betty Oliver, JT Trucking, Pastor James Henley, Diana Hughes, Chuck’s Dairy Restaurant in Rolling Fork, and Pastor Carlton Jones for all of your assistance and support.

I would also like to thank the workshop speakers for doing a superb job with teaching on Friday and Saturday. Many of them came a long way to just be a blessing. Special thanks to the panelists: Dr. Eugene Ferris, Dr. James Hall, Rev. Neddie Winters, Rev. Brian Ivey and Rev. Terry White.

I truly thank all who made this 2017 Conference the best so far!

Rev. Linda Sweezer, Senior Founding Pastor,
