Harrigill was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where she died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to a Mississippi Highway Patrol press release issued by Cpl. Kervin Stewart

The car was driven by Angela Crawford, 43. Crawford was transported by helicopter to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, after being extricated from the vehicle, with what were described as “life-threating injuries.”

As of Saturday afternoon, MHP had no update on Crawford’s condition.

Stewart said they have not determined why the vehicle veered from the roadway causing it to strike a tree.

Harrigill and Crawford were the only two occupants in the vehicle.
