Power has been restored to residences and businesses on Cherry Street.

The street had been blocked Tuesday morning between South and Harrison streets while workers for Entergy replace a damaged power pole, Entergy customer service representative Shelia McKinnis said.

She said work began on the pole Tuesday morning and power was shut off in the area about 2 p.m. as the workers began to relocate power lines to the new pole.
