City issues boil water notice

Published 11:05 am Friday, July 13, 2018

The city of Vicksburg has issued a boil water notice until Monday for residents in Warrenton Lakes Subdivision because of a broken line.

North Ward Alderman Michael Mayfield, who is over the city’s public works and utilites departments, said a 6-inch water line at the intersection of Linda Street and Belva Drive broke about 11 p.m. Thursday and has been repaired.

The boil water notice was issued as a precaution. Residents should boil their drinking and cooking water vigorously before using or find an alternate source of water.
