Wreck temporarily closes Halls Ferry Road

A three-car wreck forced Vicksburg police to shut down Halls Ferry Road at Melrose Avenue about 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

According to police reports, the wreck occurred as two Vicksburg police cars were responding to a call when one car collided with the other, knocking it into a pickup truck. Police Chief Milton Moore said about 1:30 p.m. Halls Ferry has been reopened.
