Students on the Warren Central Junior High campus will be released at 12 noon today due to a power outage.

According to Vicksburg Warren School District spokesperson Christy Kilroy, it is likely that power will not be restored before the end of school today. Buses will run at noon or you may pick your child up at the school.

Kilroy said this power outage has not affected other schools.

“If your child is a WCJHS student who attends the Academy of Innovation, dismissal time will be 3:40 as usual,” Kilroy said.
According to Shelia McInnis, spokesperson for Entergy, an underground transformer failed and will be replaced later Monday.

“Crews are waiting for another underground transformer to arrive,” McInnis said.

She said they hope to have power restored by this evening.
