The city of Vicksburg has issued a boil water notice for the Sky Farm Avenue area because of a damaged waterline.

Water and gas superintendent Dane Lovell said a 6-inch waterline on Evergreen Drive that comes from the Jackson Street water tower and serves the Sky Farm area has separated. He said the water will be cut off at 12:30 p.m. to repair the line. Once the repairs are completed, the line will be flushed and the water tested.

Lovell said gas department crews are repairing a break in a 2-inch gas line at Warren and Dale streets. He said gas service will be cut off to make the repair and service will be restored later Friday.
