Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department are responding to the area near Kings Empowerment Center for a reported shooting.

At this time, The Post has confirmed there is at least one person who has been shot. Any identifying information on that victim has not been released. Emergency medical teams have also responded.

Traffic along R. L. Chase Circle near the Empowerment Center has been blocked.

The original call came in around 4:45 p.m. At around 5:15 p.m., dispatchers broadcast witnesses said two-to-three black males were possibly involved. They were last seen traveling south on North Washington Street in a black Dodge Charger.
