Crime reports: Officers respond to reports of theft, burglary

In a release Thursday, the Vicksburg Police Department reported officers responded to a theft at Home Depot Wednesday.

At 3:03 p.m., officers responded and took a report of that someone stole a Dewalt 20 volt gauge finish nailer and a Dewalt framing nailer valued at $399 each.

• On Wednesday, at 5:43 p.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Oak Street in reference to a business burglary. The complainant reported someone broke out the front window and used a fire extinguisher to spray the inside of the building. Two pairs of hair clippers valued at $300 were taken.

• On Wednesday, at 10:32 p.m., officers responded to Cairo Drive in reference to shots fired.  No signs of suspicious activity or evidence of shots fired were found.
