Crime reports: Suspect sought for Sunday armed robbery

The Vicksburg Police Department is looking for a man who broke into a home and robbed his victim at knifepoint.

Sunday, at 1:18 p.m., an officer responded to a home on Cossa Court in reference to a report of an armed robbery.

Officials report a black male, wearing a black mask, and displaying a knife, broke into the home and stole a wallet and credit card.

In other reports:

• On Friday, at 7:05 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Cherry Street in reference to an auto theft. The victim reported someone stole a 1999 Toyota Camry after the keys were left in the center console.

• On Friday, at 5:27 p.m., officers responded to Shaw’s Diesel Performance, 4295 Halls Ferry Road, in reference to a theft. The victim reported someone stole a 9mm Ruger handgun from a 2012 Dodge Ram.

• On Friday, at 6:10 p.m., officers responded to mile marker 1 of I-20 for a theft. The victim reported someone stole a 16-foot trailer with a 2019 Honda 420 Rancher, as well as a set of aluminum folding ramps. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be $9,400.

• On Saturday, at 12:04 a.m., officers responded to New Main Apartments, 2727 Alcorn Drive, in reference to a burglary. The victim reported someone broke into their apartment and stole a container with loose change, an identification card, a credit card and a prescription box of Suboxone pills.
