Video: Vicksburg Fire Department responds to house fire on Sky Farm
Multiple units from the Vicksburg Fire Department responded Tuesday morning to a house fire on Sky Farm Road.
No one was home at the time of the fire that quickly spread throughout the home.
Vicksburg Fire Chief Craig Danczyk said the home’s metal roof contributed to the spread of the fire.
He said there was one “fairground injury” at the scene, but the injury, which he called “heat and exhaustion,” is considered non-life-threatening.
Danczyk said four fire trucks responded, including Engine 6, Engine 2, Ladder 3 and Platform 1. Batallion 1, FD 1 (chief), 2 and 3 (deputy chiefs) and FD 36 (investigator), Ambulance 50 and Rescue also responded.
