Crime reports: Police investigate theft from casino hotel room

The Vicksburg Police Department is continuing to investigate a reported theft from a casino hotel room reported Friday.

At 12:41 p.m., officers responded to Waterview Casino Hotel in reference to a theft. The victim reported that a male subject took $1,300 and several miscellaneous items from her hotel room.

The victim did provide the name and description of the subject to authorities.

In another report, officers responded to an address in the 1900 block of Sky Farm Avenue in reference to a burglary.

The victim reported someone broke into her deceased mother’s home and stole two televisions valued at $232.
