Nearly 2,000 Entergy customers had a dark start to their evening as power was knocked out to an area of Warren County Wednesday.

Officials with Entergy responded to an area between Openwood and Bovina where a tree reportedly fell onto transmission lines. The incident knocked out power to 1,931 customers.

Entergy reported power was restored shortly after 8 p.m. and that crews were forced to reroute power from another area affected.
