Mary Derivaux Bass named to Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2020-2021

Mary Derivaux Bass, a Vicksburg native, has been named to Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2020-2021.

Bass is a partner at SpencerStuart, a global executive search and leadership consulting firm with 60 years of experience in the industry. Bass is based in the firm’s Houston office.

According to SpencerStuart’s website, Bass “has a broad-based search practice focusing on assignments for board directors, CEOs, chief operating officers, chief human resources officers and chief financial officers for growth companies nationwide. She is a member of the firm’s Board and Private Equity practices and is active in the Energy, Financial Officer, Financial Services, Industrial and Healthcare practices. Bass has served on and chaired the firm’s global partner nominations committee. She is also a recipient of the Lou Rieger Quality Award for client service.”

Bass is also involved in community organizations. She is the director of the Texas Lyceum Association and the First Tee of Greater Houston. She also serves on the San Jacinto Girl Scout Council, has chaired the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation and is a past director of The Houston Golf Association. Bass is a graduate of Mississippi State University, earning both B.S. and M.B.A. degrees with an emphasis on corporate finance.

The honorary list is published by Houston Woman Magazine. The list has been published annually since 2008 to introduce 50 women that readers could learn from, be inspired by and with whom they would want to connect.
