A fugitive returned from Texas is being held on a $4 million bond after a court appearance on Wednesday.

The bond stems from the July 18 murder of Preston Wilson Jr., 22, of Vicksburg, who was shot and killed near the intersection of Cherry and Harrison Streets.

Perrion Johnson, 18, of Vicksburg fled to Austin, Texas, where he was arrested on Nov. 8. He was extradited back to Mississippi and appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday.
